Ladies Fish-Off Donates $30,000 to The Billfish Foundation

For four decades, the Ladies Fish-Off has proven that fishing tournaments can be about much more than competition on the water. Founded by a group of passionate women anglers and built on a foundation of community, philanthropy, and a shared passion for fishing, the South Florida tournament has become one of the region’s most beloved angling traditions and one of its most impactful charitable events.

What began as a local fundraising event has evolved into a remarkable charitable organization that has donated more than $706,500 to worthy causes over its 40-year history. The tournament is planned and executed entirely by volunteers, making its impact even more extraordinary.

This year marked the tournament’s 40th anniversary, and the Ladies Fish-Off community celebrated in a big way.

Held June 4–7 in Pompano Beach, the 2026 Ladies Fish-Off welcomed 44 boats and 176 female anglers for a weekend filled with camaraderie, competition, and purpose. Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, the event raised more than $60,000 for its charitable beneficiaries, including an incredible $30,000 donation to The Billfish Foundation.

The donation represents one of the largest annual contributions TBF has received from the tournament and reflects the ongoing commitment the Ladies Fish-Off community has made to supporting marine conservation and the future of recreational fishing.

Support from tournaments like the Ladies Fish-Off allows TBF to continue advancing billfish conservation through research, education, and advocacy. Contributions help fund initiatives such as satellite tagging projects, traditional tagging programs, international fisheries management efforts, and educational outreach programs that promote sustainable recreational fishing and healthy marine ecosystems.

As The Billfish Foundation celebrates its own 40th anniversary in 2026, we are especially grateful to partner with organizations that share our vision for protecting fisheries resources while strengthening the recreational fishing community.

Congratulations to the entire Ladies Fish-Off team on an incredible 40th year. We are honored to be part of your legacy and look forward to many more years of partnership and conservation success.
