The Billfish Foundation is pleased to welcome Land Johnson to the team! Land will help create TBF’s upcoming 2024–2025 Conservation Record, bringing his academic background in geosciences and climate change to the project.
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Land is currently in his final semester at Florida Atlantic University, where he is studying geosciences with a concentration in climate change while also pursuing an advanced certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). After completing his undergraduate studies, he plans to continue his education with a master’s degree in geosciences.
During his internship, Land will help bring together the work covered in the 2024–2025 Conservation Record for TBF’s members and supporters. We look forward to sharing the finished publication and are excited to have him contribute to this effort.
Please join us in welcoming Land to TBF!
Looking for other ways to get involved in marine conservation? TBF also offers a separate internship opportunity through the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Student Conservation Fund. Honoring Winthrop’s commitment to education and science, the program helps prepare the next generation to become responsible stewards of our oceans and fish resources. Contact TBF to learn more.
