The Billfish Foundation (TBF) was proud to once again be part of Rock the Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival Conservation Village, an inspiring space where music and marine conservation come together on the shores of South Florida. Each year, this event brings together passionate organizations, partners, and ocean advocates, and we at TBF are incredibly grateful to be included among them.
For those who have never had the opportunity to attend (we highly recommend!), the energy is contagious. From engaging with festivalgoers to collaborating with fellow conservation organizations, the Conservation Village continues to be a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when communities come together around a shared purpose. Rock the Ocean’s (RTO) dedication to building this platform year after year is nothing short of remarkable, and its impact on environmental awareness is undeniable.
Our longstanding partnership with RTO continues to be one we deeply value. Throughout the years, support from RTO has directly contributed to the distribution of thousands of youth magazines, supplies and equipment with our international tagging grants, and the continuation of our citizen-science focused Tag & Release program. Their commitment to elevating conservation efforts through the Conservation Village provides a unique and powerful platform to engage tens of thousands of attendees in meaningful conversations about ocean health, billfish conservation, and the importance of responsible sportfishing. It’s an opportunity not just to share our mission, but to connect directly with individuals who are eager to learn and make a difference.
We are sincerely appreciative of our partnership with Rock the Ocean and their continued support of TBF’s mission. Together, we look forward to advancing conservation efforts both on and off the water for years to come.
