Program Types

TBF’s Youth Education Program provides resources on ocean health and sportfishing benefits for the next generation of anglers.
TBF’s Tagging Program, the largest, open-sourced, private tagging database in the world, generates the science TBF to research billfish, influence fisheries management decisions and to educate our community about the importance of billfish conservation.
TBF’s educational audience ranges from fisheries decision makers and the sportfishing community, to youth anglers and the generic public. Whether it’s data-supported responses to governmental actions or outreach related to oceanic resources and billfish conservation, TBF believes education can reduce reactionary resistance and generate cooperation and participation.
TBF’s Annual Fundraising Gala not only raises the much needed funds to continue our mission, but it also provides us the chance to celebrate our community and all those who make it possible. From highlighting local businesses to honoring achievements, TBF’s Gala is a chance for us to come together and commemorate another successful year of billfish conservation!
TBF’s Conservation Fund gives us the ability to be the voice for the sportfishing industry and help fund projects that promote billfish conservation.
TBF’s Annual Tag & Release Award Ceremony highlights the efforts and talents of the top captains, anglers, and mates from around the globe who continue to volunteer their time and resources to support billfish conservation.
