Filled with energy, great vibes, and the leaders of the billfishing world, TBF’s Annual Tag & Release Award Ceremony once again highlighted the efforts and talents of the top captains, anglers, and mates from around the globe. From veteran winners to first time finalists, the room was filled with people who dedicated their time and experience in 2023 to tag, release and report their data to us in the name of billfish conservation.

Held at Miami’s Jungle Island, this evening is always an exciting one for us at TBF. This is our chance to thank the incredible angling community for all they do to support TBF and our mission. Their work year in and year out does not go unnoticed, and with the help of the beautiful awards donated by King Sailfish Mounts, we’re able to show a bit of our appreciation for all they do. Without their efforts, TBF simply would not currently host a billfish database sporting more than 280,000 billfish records, and we would not be able to advocate so strongly on behalf of the sportfishing community. For this event alone we had three youth winners travel to South Florida for this event from Louisiana, France, and Gabon!
