The deadline for tagging and releasing billfish for The Billfish Foundation’s 2019-2020 Tag and Release Competition was on October 31st, 2020. All records must received by TBF by the end of day on November 15th, 2020.

There are two ways to submit your cards. The best way to ensure your cards are in on time is to submit them yourself at www.tagbillfish.org. If you do not want to do that, cards can be mailed to the address listed on the them. However, because COVID-19 has delayed shipping considerably, we recommend you mail your cards immediately if you intend to do so. If you are not based in the USA, we encourage you to submit your cards online at www.tagbillfish.org in addition to mailing them in. International shipping is extremely unreliable this year, so there is no guarantee that your cards will arrive by November 15th.

If you have concerns about ensuring your cards are counted, feel free to reach out via email to [email protected]. Please remember that, if you choose to mail your cards in, you may not see them uploaded immediately on www.tagbillfish.org. The TBF team works hard to get the cards submitted into our online database as quickly as possible. However, due to the large influx that we receive at the end of the competition, it takes time for them all to be input.

Thank you so much to all who have tagged and released billfish this year! Winners of the competition will be announced in December. Good luck!
