The Billfish Foundation Launches Two New Reporting Tools for Juvenile Billfish and Recaptures
The Billfish Foundation (TBF) is proud to announce you can now submit both Juvenile Billfish catches and recaptures directly through our online database. With these updates, users can now utilize a streamlined form for each that collects essential information such as species, location, and condition.
Not sure about the species of your juvenile billfish? Not a problem—the juvenile form gives you the option to upload a photo so our experts can help with identification. The new recapture reporting form even collects your t-shirt size and mailing details so we can send you a token of our appreciation.
TBF’s updated portal handles the heavy lifting—gathering detailed information while keeping the process fast and simple for you. These advancements are part of our ongoing commitment to make billfish reporting accessible to all and to enhance the quality of data that supports sustainable sportfishing and marine conservation.
To locate these new forms, visit the dashboard of TBF’s database, found here. Just one click and you’re on your way to contributing valuable data to the global billfish conservation effort.
We at TBF appreciate all the time and care our community puts into reporting. Your participation makes a difference, and it’s because of your efforts we’re even able to make improvements such as this. If you ever have an idea on how to make the process even better, we’re all ears.
