This is your friendly reminder that the deadline to submit your 2024–2025 Tag & Release Competition records is Friday, October 31st, 2025!

All online submissions must be entered into the TBF portal by 11:59 PM on October 31st, 2025. All physical copies of your tag and release records must be received by TBF no later than November 15th, 2025.

There are two easy ways to submit your records:

  • Online (Recommended)

The fastest and most reliable method — simply visit tagbillfish.org, log in to your profile, and submit your tags and releases directly.

You can now batch upload multiple records using our Excel template! Simply log in and follow the prompts to submit your tags, releases and recaptures!

  • Mail

Prefer to send your physical tag or release cards? Drop them in the nearest USPS Mailbox or visit a local USPS. Remember to scan and/or photograph all cards prior to shipping to avoid any shipping mishaps.

Thank you for your continued support of billfish conservation and for helping TBF maintain the world’s largest, open-sourced billfish tagging database. Every tag and release helps improve our understanding of billfish and supports responsible sportfishing around the world.

We can’t wait to see this year’s results and celebrate our winners in March 2026!
